What We Do

Empowering Futures Through Education, Health Advocacy, and Environmental Conservation

At Tikvah Alive Uganda, we are dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children, youth, and women in Wakiso District and beyond. Our comprehensive programs are designed to address the unique challenges faced by these communities and provide sustainable solutions that foster long-term development and empowerment. Here’s an overview of what we do:

Education

Education is at the heart of our mission. We believe that access to quality education is a fundamental right and a powerful tool in the fight against poverty. Our education programs aim to provide children from marginalized communities with the resources and support they need to succeed academically and in life. This includes scholarships, school supplies, teacher support, and infrastructure improvements for educational institutions. We work tirelessly to ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

Health Advocacy

Health is a critical component of overall well-being and development. Our health advocacy programs focus on improving sanitation and health practices within schools and urban poor communities. By promoting hygiene education, providing sanitary products, and facilitating health screenings, we work to create healthier environments for children and families. Our goal is to reduce the incidence of preventable diseases and ensure that everyone has access to essential healthcare services. Through these efforts, we aim to build a foundation of good health that supports all other aspects of development.

Environmental Conservation

We recognize the vital importance of environmental conservation in ensuring a sustainable future for the communities we serve. Our environmental programs address the challenges of waste management and environmental degradation. By promoting sustainable practices and raising awareness about the impact of environmental health on community well-being, we strive to create cleaner, safer living conditions. Our initiatives include community clean-up events, tree planting, and educational campaigns on the importance of maintaining a healthy environment. We are committed to fostering an ethic of stewardship and sustainability among the people we serve.
